Last month, our CEO, James Karundu, was among the panelists at the Strathmore Enterprise Development Centre – SEDC 5th Annual SME conference. The theme was ‘Empowering SMEs for Business Competitiveness’.
The aims of the conference were to enhance business linkages and networking among the Small and Medium Entrepreneurs (SMEs), to assist SMEs discover various opportunities and challenges in the market and to teach them how to position their business for both local / global opportunities.
James’ panel discussion was about using technology to build strategic business networks for SMEs. He shared game changer approaches to help SMEs build strategic, lasting and profitable networks. James spoke about education marketing, the importance of a keep in touch strategy (K.I.T.S) and formal networking..
“Education marketing is a way to engage your prospects and turn them into clients,” said James. He also said that networking works best when it’s done in a deliberate, focused and organized manner.
