Last Thursday, James Karundu hosted a free talk titled ‘5 Keys to Financial Self Improvement: How to Turn Around Your Finances and Start Your Journey to Financial Freedom’. The talk was held at Kasuku Centre, Kileleshwa.

James Karundu, Founder of PassionBiz Academy, spoke about the mistakes that people make when they want to become financially free. These include not trusting your wisdom and doing things alone.

James shared that to have financial self improvement, what you need is clarity and alignment. Clarity entails learning your own value and the value of what you know before you offer it to others. He challenged the attendees to discover their areas of brilliance and monetize it. “Clarity comes when you begin the journey. Start where you are with what you have,”  said James. Additionally, James shared about the different types of income such as passive income, recurrent income, salary income and passion income. We will discuss these in detail in the next blog post.

James said that associating with high achievers and people who want to make a difference in their lives will encourage a person to do the same. He advised people to be wary of the company they keep and to make sure that they spend time with people they would like to emulate.
